Creamy Seafood Pasta

This is surely a treat for all those pasta lovers out there. I am a FAN of pasta and not because I love food. There are so much variety when it comes to this kind of dish. Around this time of year we all are starting to eat our favorite comfort foods. Pasta is definitely on the top of the list. Super fast to make and fun to eat.  It serves eight people in only 30 minutes.

Let's begin with Ingredients....

16      oz uncooked linguine

can (18.5 oz) Progresso® Traditional New England clam chowder
cup milk
cup shredded Parmesan cheese (2 oz)
cloves garlic, minced
tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2
lb uncooked peeled deveined large shrimp, tails peeled
package (8 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms (3 cups)
medium green onions, chopped (1/4 cup)
to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste, if desired
cup shredded Parmesan cheese (2 oz), if desired

In 5- to 6-quart Dutch oven, cook linguine as directed on package. Drain well; return to Dutch oven and cover to keep warm.

Meanwhile, in blender, place clam chowder, milk, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and the garlic; blend on medium speed until mixture is smooth. Set aside.

In 12-inch nonstick skillet or wok, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot. Add shrimp, mushrooms and onions; cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until shrimp turn pink.

Stir in pepper flakes and soup mixture; cook until thoroughly heated. Stir in parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Pour over cooked linguine in Dutch oven; toss gently to coat. Top individual servings with Parmesan cheese.

All done! Begin to serve  :-)

Terrific Treat Tuesdays

 Slow Cooked Shredded Turkey Wraps

This recipe is for all those sports fans out there. Sports are very popular in most households so I'm giving something you can enjoy while you watch the game.  I am a sports lover myself and it just feels good to have a nice meal as your are enjoying the sport of choice. Football, Basketball and Baseball are the sports I love to watch :-).  Filling you up from this recipe and maybe leaving just enough room for dessert is a good way to start off.

It takes about seven hours to make but it is worth it because it serves up to 16 people!

All things you would need to begin...

lb turkey breast tenderloins
teaspoon seasoned salt
teaspoon pepper
medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
cup water
packages (1 oz each) Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix
packages (11 oz each) Old El Paso® flour tortillas for burritos (16 tortillas; 8 inch)
cups bite-size pieces lettuce
cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz)

This a slow cook recipe so be sure to follow all directions(which is very simple).

Place turkey in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. Add onion and water.

Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 to 7 hours or until juice of turkey is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
Remove turkey from slow cooker. Shred turkey, using 2 forks. Measure liquid from slow cooker; add enough water to liquid to measure 2 cups. Mix seasoning mixes (dry) and liquid mixture in slow cooker. Stir in shredded turkey.

Cover and cook on low heat setting 1 hour.

Spoon about 1/4 cup turkey onto center of each tortilla; top with lettuce and cheese. Roll up tortillas.

Now enjoy your your game as you dig into this great recipe :-)

To my Fashion Icon Audrey Hepburn

Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be someone who would make a difference in the world. First, I wanted to be a lawyer (to fight for people) then a teacher (to help others learn). There was always something strongly behind the reason. Well, I believe someone I saw on TV one day helped started all that.

Watching Audrey in her plays and movie roles helped shape what I'm today. She is the ultimate heroin to me. Her simple and classic looks, smile and terrific charm always set the stage for this phenomenal superstar. From the becoming one of the world's most famous actresses to her passionate work as a humanitarian, Audrey was everything most woman wanted to be. She was graceful, kind, and very humble.

This gorgeous British actress became a fashion icon and was inducted into the Hall of Fame's International Best Dressed List. Her signature cat eyes, clean and streamlined tailor clothing all were just a few of my favorite things about her. Throughout her career, a well known designer Givenchy, was then discovered and inspired by her. The name speaks for itself. The talented work of this designer is just outstanding.

After filming and going into her older years, she then dedicated her life to helping others. Remembering her quote (which is my favorite) "As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others".  Throughout her travels to South America and Africa, she was awarded the Presidential Metal of Freedom for work a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador:-). Hard work really pays off especially if you do it from the heart.

I hope you enjoyed my dedication to one of my favorite fashion icons. She had inspired me in some many ways. Thank you Audrey for your everything :-)!!

Viewing the videos seem so easy but fun all at the same time. They had giving me the courage to do it, which by the way wasn't so easy.

Publishing my video was harder than I thought. This channel is just my way of sharing more of me to those who also enjoy Fashion and Beauty.  I hope you enjoy this video. Reminder: This is my first one is still a baby. Please be gentle :-)
